Clumsy Betty!

This weeks topic for illustration Friday is clumsy! It made me think about certain scenes I've assisted over the years and there where a few... but one of the first memories that popped in my mind was a waitress named Betty. She was very, very efficient at what she did but once in a while some clumsiness would take action! Enjoy!

Spaghetti fun

"this is how you do it" Marsha said.
Spaghetti was one of her favorite dishes.
Her friends would encourage her to eat her whole plate this way, although she never manged to finish. Halfway through she would get tired and give up and always say "next time I'll do it".
My fingers are crossed!

As you can tell (by the date) I've been a little busy lately and haven't had time to blog.
I've been working so hard and now, finally I'm pleased to say that one of my projects is almost on it's way out. I´ll leave you with a compilation of images from the book! It's a children's book and it's been published only in Portuguese. Enjoy :)

It´s been a tad since I last posted something... I've been super -duper busy lately. I´m working on a new AND exciting kids book. I'm illustrating it of course! So far it's been fun to do, oh, and it's looking good as well! I´ll try to post some images as soon as I get a chance!

Bunny was such a lonely yet happy bunny.
One day while running through the bright green Fields near home he found an egg. This wasn't any old ordinary egg Bunny thought... this egg is special... it had a crack. He held onto it expecting to find others or maybe even the egg's mother but had no luck.
That afternoon the egg slowly started to shake, rattle and roll.
Bunny held it carefully in his hand and watched how his new friend cracked himself out of the egg. They instantly became best friends for life!

Rita was dressed up as a bunny and explained the extreme situation to her most favorite doll, Princess Andrea.
"Sorry Princess Andrea but someone told me this chicken pox thing was contagious... and since we're the kind of best friends that always hang around together it´s only fair you get them too."

Little piece of garden

Thought i would share my new and relocated little garden with all of you.
I´m a very proud owner of this magnificent spider plant and not so fluffy fern. My "girls" were recently re potted, don't they look fab? They're very well behaved, love light and make great company! :)

A painting

Yesterday at the end of the day and with some spare time I decided to finish my painting. This canvas has been swapped many times over the years... back then i never liked the end result of my creations mainly because I'm not used to using real paint on a real canvas! My creations are usually a combination of a mixed media salad!
Going through my art books I must say I got a tad inspired by Modigliani, but just a tad! So, i finally did it, i finished it and this time what you see is what you get, meaning it's staying like this forever, meaning no changes!!!

I would like to introduce my lovely girl cat Nata. I took this picture last wednesday and as you can see she was very much enjoying the sun! Today she's all cosy and wrapped up in her sleeping basket looking at me and hoping for more sunny days and nice warm weather. I wish for them too. I miss summer!
